My confession is I have no..none..nada lady friends, I have my daughters but it's not the same. Those lady friends I had when I was previously married went with their husbands, who of course were my exs friends and associates. I lost touch with old friends due to lives taking different paths. I have moved twice in the last two years and for some reason I haven't met any ladies who are around my age. I am in college getting my second bachelors degree there are some "older wiser learners" as they call them here. The ladies I do know are employed with my husband and are younger than I am * sigh* like the derby party there were three women and seven men, the three women were 18, 22 and 47 (me) yes we had a good time but...
I have to say I am envious of the ladies who talk about their friends and the events they do together. I would love to have ladies night out or weekends or even a shopping day or just a lady friend around my own age to just talk with and share things. I'm not shy thats for sure and I am a giving and caring person so my family has told me. So I sit this morning and ponder upon my desire to acquire lady friends and blog about my pathetic social life.

Wow, I know exactly how you feel. My best friend died 2 yrs ago and my 3 other best friends moved away. I was beginning to wonder if it was because of me, lol.
I have no one to really hang with anymore. No lunch dates where we drink too much wine & giggle the afternoon away. No shopping trips w/ friends. No ladies night out. Waaaaah! I miss it. I wish you were here or me there.
Okay, Snooty and Queenie, Y'all need to come for a visit. Connecticut or bust!

Aww Queen you're more than welcome to come to my house for a visit. If not for my sister and mother I would have no one to do anything with either. When I married trucker and moved here all friends were left behind and no one comes to see me or hell for that matter even call me.
You are more welcome than you would realize.
Me, too! My sister-in-law (with whom I am friends but like you say, its just not the same) has an entire ARMY of close friends. She is currently on a "Girls Weekend" in Orlando. I don't know how she manages to get (and keep) all of these friends!
Anybody got web cameras? they're not as goodas being with somebody,but might help. Ok I'm shutting up.
